Ride Details

This ride is an official function of the Port Townsend Bicycle Association, hosted by its Quilbilly faction.

This is a scavenger ride, so at Headquarters (likely the Quilcene Community Center) you will be given a "passport" of sorts, and a map.  Each designated hill will have a unique rubber stamp for you to use on your passport.  Headquarters will also have a stamp so you can prove your mileage by checking in there between hills.  Many of the hills will also have a goodie for you to enjoy.

Prizes will be awarded based on combinations of hills, order of hills, bicycles, costumes, attitudes, or anything else your organizer's heart desires.  There won't be guards at the hills/stamp stations, so it's scout's honor to do this right.

There is absolutely no entry fee (a condition of the Port Townsend Bicycle Association's insurance), but you can pay for your hilltop goodies by donation at Headquarters.  A rollicking good time is also a good excuse to donate, if you're so moved.

Ride starts at 10:00 a.m. with a briefing, and prizes are awarded at 4:00 p.m.  Late-comers are welcome, and if you want to keep riding past 4:00, that's awesome.  Be friendly on the roads, make use of the shoulder where possible, obey traffic laws, and enjoy the Quilbilly scenery.
